Open since 1970, CHIC's mission is to provide a safe, stable, healing, living and learning environment for children from families in crisis, and enhance the outcomes for traumatized at-risk youth. CHIC operates three level 1 residential group homes for youth ages 13-18 creating a family-like atmosphere. Transitional living focuses on preparing young adults ages 18-21 in gaining independent living skills. Those aging out of foster care are assisted through After Care services.
