Mayor Costi Kutteh presented a Proclamation to the GFWC-NC Statesville Woman’s Club October 2, 2023, during a City Council meeting. The mayor awarded the SWC with an official proclamation of “Take-out Hunger Day” for participation in the GFWC National Day of Service on Saturday, September 30, 2023. The club hosted “Take-Out Hunger Day (TOHD)” by partnering with YokeFellow Ministry of Greater Statesville. SWC considers TOHD to be among a most impactful project. In addition to the 23 club members who participated, 20 volunteers were activated on the day of the event. Two hundred club women hours were incorporated for the duration of “TOHD.” Flanked by three SWC Board of Directors members, is Dana White, SWC President accepting the Proclamation from Mayor Kutteh.
