Proceeds will benefit the Children’s Homes of Iredell County (CHIC) and SWC Historic Preservation Campaign. Open since 1970, CHIC’s mission is to provide a safe, stable, healing, living and learning environment for children from families in crisis, and enhance the outcomes for traumatized at-risk youth. CHIC operates three level 1 residential group homes for youth ages 13-18 creating a family-like atmosphere. Transitional living focuses on preparing young adults ages 18-21 in gaining independent living skills. Those aging out of foster care are assisted through After Care services. JOIN US FOR THIS FALL FAMILY FUN DAY! There is something for everyone: chili, cornbread, desserts, beverages, music, crafts and a lot of smiles!
- 11:30 AM- outdoor event opens; guests enjoy tastings from 12:00 until 3:00 PM.
- Tasting Kits are $5-$10. $5 Basic Tasting Kit: five- 2oz tasting cups & drink. $5 Just Chili: seven- 2 oz tasting cups. $10 Everything Kit: five- 2oz tasting cups, drink, cornbread, dessert. $5 Kids Meal: macaroni and cheese with chicken nuggets and juice box.
- Additional side items purchased on site @ $2.00-$2.50 each: cornbread, desserts and sodas.
- All tasters cast their votes for the “People’s Choice” award using the ticket in each kit!
- Emcee: Mrs. Nickey Mott of N-SPIRE Band
- Classic Car Show, Product Vendors, Exhibitors, Entertainment & Raffle will delight all.
- Red Buffalo Brewing Co. Fire Engine selling cider, beer and wine. (Must be 21 years of age to partake).
- Lawn Chairs permitted, stay awhile. No coolers & please, service animals only.
