Involving 80% of SWC membership, the “Love Your Valentine” Bakesale February 11-13, 2023, was a success! Pre orders enabled various baking teams to prepare, cook, clean, decorate, box and bag goodies for patrons to delight their valentines. The club experimented by using an online platform for orders. Dana White (President) and Shelley Arthur (1st Vice President) appeared on the Billy Buck, WAME radio show in January and the Motivational Monday show with Melissa Neader in Feb also on WAME (92.9 FM) to promote the bake sale.
Baked goods donations were assembled and delivered to residents of Fifth Street Ministries. Under the leadership of Sandra Landry and Shelley Arthur, members enjoyed great camaraderie pulling off this fundraiser.
