Members participated in the Arts Festival February 18, 2023, in Hickory NC. Several SWC members won awards:
Photography – the World in Pictures: Reflections – first place, Lee Ann Sherrill.
Natural Wonders – second place, Rita Tondo.
Crafts- Counted Cross stitch- first place, Linda Lavinder.
Following the arts festival, clubwomen had an opportunity to attend a Pysanky (Ukrainian) Egg Decorating Workshop. Lovely eggs were made as a lesson on this art technique and cultures of the Ukrainian people was provided. All agreed the Egg Decorating Workshop was an enjoyable, informative, and memorable service project benefiting the American Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Clubs.
